Hala Sacre holds a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from the Saint-Joseph University of Beirut (USJ) Beirut, Lebanon. As a drug information specialist, she has been the Director of the Drug Information Center at the Order of Pharmacists of Lebanon (OPL) since June 2000 and a member of the Scientific Committee at the OPL, where she served on several sub-committees. In October 2013, she was appointed by the OPL Council as a member and rapporteur of the first Continuing Education (CE) Committee upon its inception, where she participated actively in writing CE internal regulations and trained pharmacists through several educational sessions across Lebanon. She is the manager of the CE Program and the CE accounts of all pharmacists registered with the OPL.
She is proficient in text editing (English and French), critical reviewing, information technology, and coordinating scientific events. In January 2018, she co-founded the INSPECT-LB research group. She has since been the group’s biomedical editor, website administrator, and coordinator of the “Health Professions” axis. She has more than 150 peer-reviewed publications related to health professions and public and mental health in Lebanon and more than 30 book chapters and white papers.
Currently, she represents INSPECT-LB in several committees of the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP).
