Fouad Sakr is the Associate Dean for Assessment and Research and a full-time Clinical Associate Professor in the School of Pharmacy at Lebanese International University (LIU). He is the chairman of the student services and academic policies committee within the accreditation committee of the school of pharmacy and the previous chairman of the PharmD program. He is a member of the development committee of the school’s strategic planning and other quality processes, including key performance indicators. He also serves on several additional committees, including the curriculum and grievance committees.
He is a registered pharmacist (RPh) at the Order of Pharmacists of Lebanon (OPL) and a member of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP). He holds a BPharm and a PharmD from the Lebanese International University (LIU, ACPE accredited), Beirut, Lebanon. He also has a Master of Public Health (concentration: methodology and statistics in biomedical and epidemiological research) from the Lebanese University and Université Paris-Saclay (double degree). He is currently pursuing a PhD in clinical research, technological innovation, and public health (concentration: pharmacotherapy and pharmacoepidemiology) at Université Paris-Est Créteil, Institut Mondor de Recherche Biomédicale, Créteil, France.
He has extensive clinical practice experience and more than ten years in pharmacy education, with many published papers in reputable peer review journals and international conferences. He teaches pharmacotherapy of infectious diseases, pulmonary and rheumatology, interpretations of laboratory data, non-prescription drugs, pharmacy seminars, and introduction to drug information. He also precepts BPharm and PharmD students in introductory and advanced pharmacy practice experiences.
