Linda Abou-Abbas holds a MSc in Epidemiology, Diploma in Medical Research and a PhD in
Epidemiology and Public Health from Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB), Belgium and the
Lebanese University-Ecole Doctorale de Sciences et de Technologie. Currently, she is an
associate Professor at the Neuroscience Research Center (NRC), Faculty of Medical Sciences,
Lebanese University, where she teaches Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Data analysis using SPSS,
and Clinical trials. She is also an epidemiologist and operational research focal point at the
International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). She has been working for ten years as a
senior epidemiologist at the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH). Dr Linda’s research interest
focuses mainly on epidemiological studies of COVID-19, neurological disorders such as
dementia, Alzheimer’s disease & Autism, breast cancer and health related quality of life, as well
as the development and validation of scales. She has currently 48 published articles in
international peer-reviewed journals and more than 20 oral presentations and scientific posters in
medical epidemiology and public health fields.
