Nibal Chamoun, PharmD, BCPS, CACP, is a Clinical Associate Professor at the Lebanese American University (LAU) School of Pharmacy and Assistant Dean for Experiential Education and Residency Programs. She is the founding Residency Program Director of LAU’s American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP)-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program and its ASHP Candidate PGY2 Thrombosis and Hemostasis Management Residency Program, the first program of its kind outside the United States. She also led the establishment and growth of clinical pharmacy services at LAU Medical Center–Rizk Hospital in 2013 and, in 2025, spearheaded the implementation of the institution’s Antithrombotic Stewardship Services.

Nibal completed two years of postgraduate pharmacy residency training in the United States, including specialty residency training in Cardiology at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Massachusetts. Her clinical expertise spans Emergency Medicine, Anticoagulation Management, and Cardiovascular Pharmacotherapy.

Nibal serves on the International Committee of the Anticoagulation Forum and co-chairs the AC Forum International Pharmacist Subcommittee, ASPIIRE (Antithrombosis Stewardship Pharmacists for International Innovation, Reach, and Education). Her clinical practice and research focus on antithrombotic therapy, antithrombotic stewardship, cardiovascular pharmacotherapy, and advancing pharmacy practice.
