Samar Merhi is currently an Assistant Professor of Epidemiology at the Faculty of Nursing and Health Sciences (FNHS) at NDU. She serves as the Coordinator of the FNHS at the North Lebanon Campus. She has been coordinating the clinical training of Medical Laboratory Technology students since the Spring of 2014; she also instructs various courses, including Clinical Chemistry, Clinical Bacteriology, Serology, and Epidemiology & Biostatistics.
Samar earned her PhD in Epidemiology from Université Paris-Est, France, in 2022. She also holds a Master’s in Public Health with a focus on Biostatistics and Epidemiology and a Master’s in Health Care and Quality Management.
Her research interests encompass a broad spectrum, all with a focus on improving the quality of life, including nutrition, food safety, and epidemiology. She has made significant contributions to scientific literature through several publications in esteemed journals.
