Jalal Dahham is an economist with over 16 years of experience working across prestigious organizations. Since 2015, he has served as the Senior Economic Advisor at the Netherlands Embassy in the State of Qatar, with a focus on healthcare business development and other sectors. He holds a PhD in Health Economics from Maastricht University in the Netherlands and a Master’s in Economics and Management from the University of Montpellier I in France.

In addition to his advisory role, Jalal is a health economics researcher and PhD mentor affiliated with Maastricht University and INSPECT-LB. His research portfolio includes work on developing health technology assessment guidelines and analyzing the economic burden of chronic diseases in low- and middle-income countries, particularly in the context of economic and financial crises. He specializes in health cost quantification, health outcome evaluation, and cost-effectiveness assessments of health interventions.

Jalal has authored peer-reviewed articles in top-tier international journals, presented his research at international conferences, served as a guest lecturer, and is a reviewer for several peer-reviewed journals.
