Mission, Vision, and Strategy

Mission

Created in January 2018, INSPECT-LB – a non-profit, independent research group of motivated multi-university and multidisciplinary researchers and academics – has the mission to promote health-related multidisciplinary research and optimize professional practice in Lebanon.

Vision

INSPECT-LB aims to become the major research and strategic partner of health-related public and private organizations and professional associations, and conduct targeted research in line with the national requirements defined by the Lebanese authorities.

Strategy

STRENGTHS

Multidisciplinary and qualified team members, with specialized academic background, passionate about research and quality education, and able to lead and coordinate work in an integrative view.

WEAKNESSES

Lack of extending international collaborations.

OPPORTUNITIES

Need for a clear health research policy, and for education and practice strategies for health professionals in Lebanon.

CHALLENGES

Difficulties in raising funds and involving external stakeholders.

Strategic Objectives

Design and carry out specific research projects on professional practice and health in Lebanon.

Set up a research policy, showing priorities in health research.

Promote training and education of Lebanese researchers.

Suggest strategic and structural solutions to address key gaps in the health professions.

Suggested Activities

Carry out cross-national and cross-university research, education or practice projects.

Identify the priorities of the WHO, the MOPH, and other relevant stakeholders, allowing Lebanon to decide on a robust research policy to be regularly updated.

Organize seminars and workshops on research methods, and congresses to present results of research.

Assess needs, develop quality standards, suggest rules and regulations.

Organize health education, awareness and promotion campaigns in collaboration with relevant authorities.
